The Falkirk congregation originally met along with the Glasgow fellowship in various public halls in Glasgow in the 1970s. Due to growing numbers of people attending from the Falkirk area, people started meeting in house groups. This led to meetings being arranged in various public halls in Falkirk throughout the 1980s, until the church purchased the old Town Mission building in Mission Lane, Falkirk in 1986.
Miss Jennifer Jack has been the minister of this church since it was founded.
The church opened its adjoining Coffee Shop and Bookshop, The Almond Tree in 2001, and this served very much in the heart of the community until its closure in 2021. The facilities are now being used by the church for community based outreach (see The Almond Tree page here)
As well as weekly church services the church also runs occasional Alpha Courses and other outreaches. The church also supports a number of charitable causes including Falkirk Food Bank through donations of food items, collected each week and uplifted when enough items have been gathered. It also supports Wycliffe Bible translators, and charitable outreaches in Africa, Romania and Tajikistan.
