On Thursday 7th December between 10.30 am - 2.30 pm we had a pop up event for our former loyal customers, staff and new friends of the Almond Tree. There was live music, Christmas Carols, coffee and much cake was eaten. There were many happy reunions and the event was very much enjoyed by all. Although the event was free, £1160 was donated which the Almond Tree are delighted to have passed on to a project we have supported for a number of years in Tajikistan (see their latest newsletter here)
Following receipt of this, we received the letter below
Dear Almond Tree fundraiser,
On behalf of all recipients of Families Together Project services, that are mainly vulnerable low-income lonely mothers with young children, and on behalf of the team of our organization, we express our deep gratitude to each of you for your support and helping vulnerable children and families in Tajikistan. Donation helps to meet children's needs for food, clothing, school supplies, for attending kindergarten and school, and also helps to prevent placement of children into residential care Institutions.
Thank you very much!
Best wishes,
Umeda
